Buoy 10 Chinook Fishing Trips

Welcome to Astoria Oregon! World famous for its Buoy 10 Salmon fishing, the largest run of Chinook and coho salmon. This fishery begins in early August and runs through mid September. Riding the tides and well placed flashers trailed by enticing baits such as herring, anchovies, super baits, spinners and more will bring in the Kings and coho for explosive takedowns in this superbowl of salmon fishing.

Buoy 10 King Salmon Fishing

Buoy 10 Columbia River is a World Class Salmon fiishery with large runs of migrating Salmon in early August. This is one of the most popular salmon fisheries in Oregon and Washington. Known as the Superbowl of Salmon fishing, each year people travel from all over the world to fish for Salmon at Buoy 10 in Astoria. This is one of the most exciting fisheries of the year. It is not uncommon to land 10 to 20 plus fish in a day, so if you want the chance at catching multiple salmon this is the fishery for you.

Buoy 10 Astoria Coho Fishing

Buoy 10 Coho/Silver Salmon begin entering the mouth of the river in July. With large quantities of anchovy populations, the bait is plentiful and the fish will put on weight quickly. We will see schools of Coho making their way inside of Buoy 10 at anytime during August, but the main push of fish show up around the second week of August and remain in good numbers through the middle of September. Buoy 10 Coho/Silver Salmon are aggressive biting Salmon and it’s not uncommon to have 20-30 opportunities in a day. Not to mention amazing on the grill.
